Fiona is an experienced insurance Advisor who has specialised in agribusiness providing personal and business insurance to the rural sector; primarily to farmers, farm contractors and rural businesses. Although she is based in Dunedin, Fiona works with rural communities throughout the South Island.
Educated at The Taieri High School in Mosgiel and, apart from a period in Christchurch, has lived and worked in Otago for most of her life. Fiona started her working career with Countrywide Bank in Dunedin and after nearly a decade with the bank joined FMG, then known as Farmers’ Mutual Group, the specialist rural insurance provider.
After 15 years with FMG, Fiona established her own business Keenan Financial Services Ltd in order to provide her clients with a wider range of products.
Fiona is widely known in rural communities throughout the South Island, resulting from her agribusiness focused career and identification with rural New Zealand.
Fiona is an Authorised Financial Advisor, a member of the New Zealand Financial Advisers’ Association, and has completed the National Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advice).
Fiona has a strong commitment to rural communities and, over the years has been involved with literally thousands of claims.
She makes sure her clients not only have insurance that is appropriate to their needs, but also that they have an empathetic, understanding and strong advocate come claims time.
Not being tied to a particular provider, means Fiona will ensure your insurance delivers the best outcome should you have to make a claim.
Fiona has been married to Vaughn for over twelve years. As a couple, they are active in their church and enjoy recreational walking with their two dogs.
A former middle distance runner; these days Fiona’s interests include travel, baking and entertaining family and friends.
