Background

Dave has over 40 years’ experience as a financial adviser. Based in Invercargill, where he has lived and worked since 1976, he provides risk insurance and mortgage brokerage services to a wide clientele.

Born in Auckland. he was educated at Mount Roskill Grammar before moving to Invercargill where he settled and has began his financial services career with Norwich Union in 1976.

In 1990 established his own business, Dave Conner Holdings. Trading under the Zenith Group banner, he provides advice about consumer credit contracts including Mortgages and Personal Loans, risk Insurance products including life, income protection, trauma and health insurance, and business insurance including key person cover, group insurance plans and share purchase agreements.

He is a member of the Professional Advisers Association and is a Registered Financial Adviser.

Philosophy

Dave’s philosophy is that his client’s interests are paramount, that his clients have appropriate insurance cover so that, should the worst happen, their families will be financially secure.

He will work alongside you to ensure that you have the right level of cover for your family and business.

Not being tied to a particular provider means Dave will ensure your insurance delivers the best outcome should you have to make a claim.

Personal

Dave is married to Karen and they have three children and 11 grandchildren. He is actively involved in a fundraising capacity for local charities including Hospice Southland and the Coastguard Bluff. He was made an Honorary Life member of Coastguard Bluff having been a member of the fundraising committee that raised over $1 million to purchase the club’s new rescue vessel.

His hobbies include boating, fishing and spending time at his Te Anau holiday home with his children and grandchildren. A keen musician, Dave was the drummer in the 1970s touring band Coventree, and was inducted into the Southland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
